IT Audit Manager
Job Description:
A
world class financial services firm in NYC, New York seeks a VP IT
Audit Manager to be responsible for planning, performing, and reporting
the results of application, infrastructure, product-line, and functional
audits using the Audit Department's risk-based audit approach. Work
will also entail supervising and/or managing multiple audit engagements
supported by audit staff members.
The Role Involves:
- Comprehensive risk assessment and engagement planning to entail obtaining an in-depth understanding of each business being audited, identification and assessment of risks, and preparing documentation (work papers, planning memorandum, and an Audit Program) that reflects the aforementioned information and assessments
- Execute and supervise audit work to encompass execution and oversight of the planned approach for the audit in a team-based environment; interacting closely with various levels of staff and management throughout our client's company as well as integrated and application audit work that encompasses a review of processes and procedures performed by various departments within the company to control and/or support the IT environment
- Perform general and application IT control reviews, pre and post-implementation reviews, and typically involves reviews of system architecture and configuration settings, application functionality, system development approaches, underlying system administration and support processes, project management techniques, and data analysis / CAATs techniques
- Perform certain IT infrastructure audits
- Develop, present, and finalize audit reports
- Participate in the recruitment of other IT Auditors
- Manage multiple auditor assignments
- Develop and maintain relationships with the company's Staff and Management Assessing personal as well as team development needs (training, etc.)
- 8-14 years of related IT audit and audit management experience (public / Big 4 accounting and internal / IT audit experience with a financial services organization being preferred)
- Integrated audit work experience liaising together with financial auditors during integrated reviews
- IT-related experience is a plus (programming, systems analysis, etc.)
- Project management experience is a plus, but not required
- Strong organizational, oral, and written communication and interpersonal / team leadership skills with a high regard for punctuality and good time management
