At
Amnesty International we believe absolutely that one person can make a
difference. The work carried out by our Global Fundraising Advisor is a perfect
example. As a result of their support, our followers in Portugal have increased
twelve-fold. That’s a huge impact. And one you’ll strive to match.
About
the role
Part
of our International Secretariat, the Fundraising Investment Fund allocates
resources to a portfolio of key countries with the goal of increasing our
global fundraising capacity. As the Global Fundraising Advisor,
you’ll advise on a range of projects and work closely with in-country teams to make sure that growth is delivered. On a day-to-day basis that means analysing figures, monitoring results and putting together forecasts, reports and budgets. Most importantly, it means supporting project staff via Skype, email and phone. However, while keeping in touch is of paramount importance, we don’t expect you to do everything remotely. Travelling to locations as diverse as Europe and Latin America, you’ll deliver training and encourage the skill sharing that will result in successfully delivered fundraising strategies across the board.

About
you
Analytical,
logical and numerate, you’ll be an experienced fundraiser with a solid
background of developing and monitoring long-term fundraising plans. And
whether you honed your ability to provide expert strategic and technical advice
in a commercial setting or at another NGO, you’ll have what it takes to realise
growth plans on an international scale. A solid marketing sense and a talent
for building relationships with geographically diverse teams are therefore
essential. As are well-developed communication skills and a proven ability to
coach, support and motivate others.
About
us
Our
aim is simple: an end to human rights abuses. Independent, international and
influential, we campaign for justice, fairness, freedom and truth wherever
they’re denied. Already our network of almost three million members and
supporters is making a difference in 150 countries. And whether we’re applying
pressure through powerful research or direct lobbying, mass demonstrations or
online campaigning, we’re all inspired by hope for a better world. One where
human rights are respected and protected by everyone, everywhere.
