Communications Assistant (Multi Media)

Job Purpose:
To assist in the multimedia needs of ADB. The position provides support in the coordination and facilitation of story production and deployment of multimedia teams. Primary responsibility is to serve as an advocate for ADB's Multi Media Unit, as well as a liaison between the Unit, various ADB departments and an international network of contractors. The position will also support content management and technicalrequirements of the News Releases and Multimedia sections of ADB.org.
Expected Outcomes:
- Assists in the planning, logistics and execution of multimedia features and deployment of staff on assignment.
- Supports the production of videos and multimedia products, primarily by overseeing adherence to ADB administrative and procurement policies and procedures.
- Helps in the design and production of multimedia features according to specifications and web standards.
- Uploads news releases, with all related links, using the Online Media Center's (OLMC) Content Management System (CMS), and maintains the CMS.
- Monitors the "News Alerts" system and updates News and Events landing page and internal pages.
- Monitors and analyzes OLMC site usage and prepares reports, as requested.
- Tracks, recommends and submits multimedia and social media content for recognition/participation in local, regional and international competitions.
- Coordinates and liaises with relevant departments and staff in the preparation and timely completion of multimedia products and requirements.
- Performs other related duties as may be assigned by immediate supervisor, and reflected in the incumbent's workplan.
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Communication Arts, Multimedia, Visual Arts, Business Administration, or Liberal Arts
Relevant Experience And Other Requirements:
Work experience
- 3 to 5 years relevant work experience
- Experience in supporting production management of film, public relations, commercial, news organization or similar media house would be a significant advantage.
- International field production or logistics experience would be an advantage.
- Proficient in Word, Excel, Lotus Notes, Power Point and other office applications.
- Working knowledge of information technology including Web applications, content management systems, and design programs, would be a significant asset.
- Fluent in written and verbal communications.
- Superior organizational skills; able to handle numerous responsibilities at one time
- Familiarity with working in a structured, hierarchal, multinational organization is an asset.
- Able to liaise and work effectively with colleagues from diverse cultures, across many time zones.
- Able to quicklyadapt to and authoritatively embrace ADB's administrative procedures.
- Able to work collaboratively with teams as a constructive team member.
